Bangalore, July 10 2001: Net ProActive Services, the Internet
Infrastructure Management Company, which provides Managed
Services and Infrastructure Consulting Solutions, today
announced that 10 new customers have identified and selected
Net ProActive Services for providing Infrastructure related services.
The prestigious list of new Net ProActive Services' customers include
General Electric Capital Services (GECIS), Hathaway, Hughes
Telecom, Infosys, Jasubhai Digital Media, Larsen & Toubro
Information Technology Ltd, Net Decisions, Skumars.com, Spice
Telecom and Vysya Bank. With these new customers, Net ProActive Services
has strengthened its presence in the Indian market.
"The popularity of our vendor-neutral services spans
industries, regions and company sizes," said TG Ramesh,
CEO, Net ProActive Services. "The companies which have chosen us
for our services and the aggressive rate of customer
acquisitions by Net ProActive Services is a testimony to the commitment
that we have towards our customers, the quality of deliverables,
and also the growing demand for a pure service focused company.
To service this growth, Net ProActive Services will continue to invest
significantly in people and infrastructure in India."
"Of the recent customers acquired, most of them have
engaged with us in more than one area of our services portfolio;
seven have opted for Net ProActive Services' Security Solutions; three
for Managed Services and four for our Infrastructure Design and
Performance Management Services. This affirms that Net ProActive Services is becoming a leading player in the areas of end-to-end
Infrastructure & Security Solutions and Managed
Services", said Joy Nandi, Executive Vice President -
Marketing & Alliances. "We are an infrastructure
services organization with a unique combination of business and
technology expertise. Our customers see us as a young and
dynamic company that is a focused player in the Infrastructure
space, with high-end skill sets and high-value services."
Net ProActive Services is the first Managed Service Provider (MSP)
from India to offer on-site support and value-added Managed
Services from its IMaRC™ (International Management and
Resource Center), on a 24x7 basis, to its customers globally.
Net ProActive Services is the only India-based Managed Service Provider
(MSP) to be part of the MSP Association - a newly formed
industry consortium in the US. As an Executive Member, Net ProActive Services participates in research, technology standardization and
propagation of best practices in Infrastructure Management
space.
"Outsourced Managed Services will rapidly accelerate in
the Indian context this year. Increasingly greater number of
organizations realize that the single point ownership and
increased accountability provided by Net ProActive Services can bring a
big improvement to overall reliability and performance of their
IT infrastructure. Managed Services from BL, based on a
comprehensive on-site and off-site service delivery model,
provides optimum service levels, at a much lower cost of
operations", said R. Prabhakar, Head - Managed Services
from Net ProActive Services.
With the current focus world-over on security issues and
challenges that Enterprise and Service Providers alike are
facing, Net ProActive Services has recently announced a host of Security
Consulting and Managed Security Services (under the bSecure@BL
banner) - which include security initiatives, such as
"Ethical Hacking"; "Risk & Threat
Assessment"; "Security Advisory Services";
"Remote Firewall Management"; "Online Intrusion
Detection"; "Penetration Testing"; and
"Vulnerability Assessment".
"In some recent cases of 'Ethical Hacking and
Vulnerability Assessment' that Net ProActive Services conducted on
behalf of its clients, we found quite a number of Enterprises
and Service Providers are vulnerable to both, internal and
external threats", said Milind Dikshit, Head of Net ProActive Services' Security Practice. "In India alone, over 90% of all
Enterprises are vulnerable - either, because of inadequate
security measures; non-availability of Enterprise-wide security
policies in some cases, and non-adherence in others; or a lack
of periodically and timely updated security systems, patches,
and bug-fixes. A lot of our customers in the recent past have
realized the need to fix these issues. We see Security Solutions
being a strong area of growth for Net ProActive Services", he
added.
