Net ProActive Services, an Internet infrastructure management company, has installed
Hewlett Packard’s OpenView as the integrated enterprise management foundation
for its customers’ burgeoning infrastructures.
Net ProActive Services focuses on building network infrastructures for customers
worldwide. Its International Management and Resource Center (IMaRC), located at
Bangalore, is the first full-service managed service provider in India to
provide round-the-clock, remote monitoring and management across networks,
systems and security.
Net ProActive Services IMaRC is constantly challenged on a daily basis to strike a
balance between deploying people, technology and processes in order to provide
high levels of managed services to its customers.
To help optimise the people-technology-process combination, IMaRC’s Managed
Internet Services’ HP OpenView Web Transaction Observer tracks the
availability, performance and consistency of Internet services, which will serve
its customers better.
“Our challenge was to remotely manage a plethora of infrastructure, Web
sites, application and services for our clients who have heterogeneous hardware,
operating systems and applications,” said Umesh Malhotra, CEO, Net ProActive Services
India.
“We chose OpenView for its open platform standards to cater to our
customers’ varied infrastructures.”
In addition, HP’s OpenView operations (formerly VantagePoint Operations)
played a key role in managing the network systems and applications. The
Infrastructure Management Services provides a major boost in assuring
organisations their core IT infrastructure is available and performing reliably
round-the-clock. Delivered remotely, these services cover fault, performance,
security, configuration management, and onsite services.
